I thought that Westworld got really really silly/too convoluted for its own good towards the end but yeah, I enjoyed it anyways. Did Season 2 startup yet?

Truth be told I'm not that crazy for it, but it has potential.

Has Rectify been mentioned yet? Talk about 5 star television!

4 episodes of Season 2 have aired so far. If you are averse to spoilers I would advise you don't read anything about it. It would, er, spoil some fun surprises. If you enjoyed season 1 you should enjoy this year too.

Thx, will definitely avoid any threads etc about it :shh:

I probably won't watch it until the whole season ends so I can binge it at my leisure.

Another very good under the radar show in a similar genre to stuff discussed here. Lots of familiar stars from shows Sherlock, Sons Of Anarchy, The Americans, The Blacklist, Seinfeld. First episodes has like 3 to 4 steamy sex scenes in first 30 min then rarely happens.

Watched The Prey(2014) ..sealed blu Ray 1.00. Brit police driven drama with a cop on the run for killing his wife season 1 staring John Simm, pretty good.

So....for some reason Animal Kingdom slipped under my radar, I never saw it. Currently, the 3rd season is getting underway and a big draw, for me, is the addition of Denis Leary to the cast. But I didn't want to dive into this 3rd season before seeing the 1st 2 so I've been recording it. I finally started bingeing season 1 thru Amazon Prime. 8 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it! Kinda like Ma Barker meets Point Break. Ellen Barkin pretty much chews up any scene she's in, no doubt about who's the star of this show! Really looking forward to see her working with Leary!

You've got to be kidding me. Money Heist is hysterically overwrought and simplistic compared to Breaking Bad.

Money Heist is fine as as the TV version of a potboiler/page turner/beach read. The cat and mouse stuff is fun enough. The relationship stuff is frequently just bad, though...especially with characters like the curly haired blonde woman.

But Money Heist is NOT great TV.

The super positive reviews you see for it on various sites are, to me, very surprising.

I started watching this recently. I like it but it's brutal and dark comedy it is not. It's just dark. I only watch one show at a time, two in a row is a bit much but the acting and story line are well done. I like the music connection (early 70s Memphis). I was surprised it only had one season but the level of grit might have been too much.

I ended up watching the entire season over a few months. I have to say my disappointment is in loving the books so much and this series being so different from the source material. But it was interesting and had I not read and admired the books I'd have liked the series more.

You are right, but the whole series were only 14 episodes all, so not exactly a lot compared to other series.

    Penny Dreadful.

Wow Eva Green was great in this.
A bit of a hodge podge mix of fact and fiction, but watchable. 8/10.
