RARE HANK THOMPSON PATHWAY OF MY LIFE 8 CD BOX SET BEAR FAMILY RECORDS BOOK LOOK | eBay

I hope someone on this board won this. I was watching the original listing last night, it was bid on at 85.00 or buy it now at like $115. The auction ended and he re-posted, apparently buy it now for $59.99 and I slept right through it and missed it. It just wasn't meant to be. That's ok, I got an almost brand new Jimmy Martin boxed set for $60 earlier in the week.

You'll have to click on the "listing is unavailable" link at the top to see it.

Good eye. Either the audiobook chapters are mislabeled as songs, or there'll be 10% more music.
    Not yet, hopefully this week.

  8. I got the first Slim Whitman box set, Rose Marie, for 23 GBP (plus shipping) late in 2016 from Amazon UK, new.
It was clearly a pricing error, I lucked out on it. They upped it shortly after - now it's 104 GBP from them.
I wish all their box sets were around 30 bucks, I could afford some more that way

    Very, very disappointing.

That kind of thing can hurt a company's reputation, unless the price code system is adjusted so the 8CDs are just a bonus

How about a free copy if I send a picture of myself wrestling a grizzly bear?

    Here is my picture:

$257.84 for the new one, the old one was listed at $233.94; so I would say it's not a bad price. It's priced the same as the Roy Acuff and Cater family sets.

Well that's a relief. I'd still rather the audiobook be sold separately, but good to know we're not getting fleeced.

I've got that Bronco Buster CD - good stuff. I know his RCA stuff went away from pure country but there's still some great songs, I love these two from the 12 track best of.

@melstapler submitted this for his free Lefty reissue, but Bear Family denied his request because there seems to have been a prior relationship.

Been giving the BF disc of Donny Young/Johnny Paycheck a spin today, if you want hard core honky tonk it doesn't get much better than this, you can hear Paycheck getting his voice together from sounding so young to developing the vocal style we all know and love. Come on Bear goddamit where's our box set?

I found this Archive photo of The Killer fighting The Grizzly Bear, but I do not think the guys at Bear Family will accept it for a free Lefty box upgrade.

They did not question whether The Grizzly Bear was his wife in a costume, but disqualified The Killer because he lost the match and was later accused of throwing the fight.

A later follow-up showed that The Killer denied throwing the fight in court, and the judge dismissed the case after The Killer mumbled that he knew which side of the bread was buttered, or maybe that he knew who buttered his toast. Anyway, it had to do with butter and bread.
