I find I actually quite like bad filler album tracks from time to time, so I'll share a couple here and see what you have to say about your own choices.

    I Gotta Try

    Don't Send We Back

The first track actually comes from a record from the king of yacht rock Kenny Loggins that I quite like. Even the filler is entertaining enough, and the track included is a cowrite with Michael McDonald that became a top 40 hit for him.

Don't Send We Back is (as far as I know) the first 10cc song written by someone outside the original 4, with rhythm guitarist and pianist Rick Fenn penning a surprisingly nice reggae-ish track with great organ, bass and lead guitar from Eric Stewart. Shame it was never considered for a single ahead of the mediocre "It Doesn't Matter At All" because it might've done alright.

Not so sure of its "filler" status.

Any track from Ram or Band On The Run that wasn't meant to be a hit.

    Mercedes Benz by Janis (Pearl).
It was a song she wrote while she was drunk and it wasn’t meant to be anything, but that was her final recording so Paul Rothchild thought it would be a nice tribute. It became a classic, covered by Elton John, The Supremes, Shannon Hoon, Steven Tyler, Pink.

Does Beatles Forever by ELO count? Never officially released, but it's pure filler, and I quite like it.

This is the second time I've seen this song mentioned in disparaging terms. What exactly is people's problem with this song? It's not my favourite but it's by no means the worst Beatles song either. And it has a special significance for me...

I’m pretty sure I read an interview with John saying they churned that song out quickly to meet a deadline- that is my definition of “ filler” - doesn’t mean it’s not
A great pop tune- some bands would love to have that be their best-ever single!

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Billy In The Low Ground" (The side one closer of the great "Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy" album) ...

(NOTE: Fades in very slowly and exits the same way, which is part of it's charm)
