I finally moved from my tiny flat in a village to a bigger flat in a small town. There is more room here, even for the speakers. Listened to the great album “Chicken Skin Music” by Ry Cooder as I took this photo.
Thanks for the nice comments...and figuring out how to post the pic for me. The pic is from a few weeks ago.i will try to post a current pic. The system has had a few changes since them.. They are the nanos. Older version with 10 in subs. Very fast and accurate. Sound pretty good with the flea amp,But much better with my 300b set amps.
Feel sorry for us in the UK..As a rule we don't have basements to set up a music room in.Or large garages.Or plenty of space between our houses so we can play music loud with disturbing our neighbours. And most of us don't seem to have the ten of thousands of $£ in disposable income that so many of our friends across the water seem to have. Very jealous of the lovely systems and lovely houses pictured in this thread.
That Kenwood is absolutely gorgeous!! That was my fantasy amp back in the mid 70s when I was in the Air Force. I'd go to the BX and just about slobber all over that one. And yours looks better than new.
The KA-7100 replaced my old KA-5700 which will now be sent off for a complete overhaul. Was trying out a blue LED for the meters when this shot was taken. It will be changed out for one closer to the original during the refurbish process. Will use it as the core of a small bedroom system when its finished.
For me Kenwood always meant Circuit black faced mid fi, but man I loved mine Intriguing how beautiful went to...
Beeeutiful! I have a vintage Japanese market Kenwood table that I just love. Not that I need another component, but this a nice looking unit.
Man, very nostalgic. I saved up a whole year and got one of those in high school ('70s); ordered it from one of those New York discount mail order houses. Had that amp for about 20 years and finally turned it over to my dad when I upgraded.
