I think Sheila E still looked great in 2006, and she still looks great now.

I agree with the thoughts in post #7 of this thread - Emmylou has definitely got it goin' on!

    Exactly. :)

Personally talent and voice goes way further with me than the looks, and on that note some ladies from the '60s I think it would've been easy to fancy as ones' musical angels include Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee and Cilla Black.

Were this the '30s, '40s or '50s and were I inclined to soprano (which I'm decidedly not), I'm sure we'd have suggestions such as movie songbird diva Jeanette MacDonald or the petite movie songbirdettes Deanna Durbin or, later on, Jane Powell for consideration as "angelic." Not my cup o' tea but it goes to show how tastes shift.

Ah another two some might have fancied in that light, Petula Clark and Olivia Newton John.

I happen to think that Acacia Sears is both talented and lovely.

Portuguese/Cape Verdean musician Sara Tavares. Saw her play last year and live she's even sweeter -- radiant, bubbly, charming. Her voice is fabulous. The recordings can be a bit too polished (and her first CD was commercial pap), so musically, too, a much better experience live.

After almost three years, many of the obvious (and some not so) choices have been named. Still, I have no trouble naming a truly beautiful woman with a lovely singing voice who has not yet appeared in this thread - Midori Karashima. She composes and performs songs in many genres and her piano playing is clear and distinctive.

Here is a recent performance of "Silent Eve" in HD, her signature song that brought her stardom in 1991 - seven years after she won Japan's Yamaha PopCon.

I don't think the intent of this thread was for people to post their favorite music chicks.

There's a difference between who you find attractive and someone who has a universal beauty and a gorgeous singing voice which = angel.

Only one person I can think of in this sense that fits the criteria objectively:

Probably biased since she lives 45-40 miles away from my home town, and ended up attending the same campus at the same time, but, the creamy alto range of this woman, mated with the sheer power of her technique always stuns me. The poetry she sings is singular.
This is a 60-year-old woman. Who effortlessly still holds onto her youthful looks. Her husband is a blessed individual.
    She's singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer:
