Yep, same here. Both got quite a bit of airplay on LSUG, but I haven't heard too much of their recent stuff. And both Suzi and LP3 really stood out, as a lot of the newer stuff on LSUG sounds very cookie cutter....

Can't really argue with this one.

Although in a pinch I'd still choose "Over The Rainbow".

Again, I agree. When I first heard both of them I liked it right away and got online to buy some stuff. There is a youtube channel under her name (only 20 subscribers!) with some fairly recent stuff.

I still really enjoy Lily's first album. Lots of great tracks.
I saw her live on tour for that album, she was really fun and the band was super tight. This, to me, is a perfect pop song. (too bad some lyrics are censored!)

Beat It is a better song but it's more rock and less pop.

I forget what I posted last time this thread topic came up, but I’m guessing it was something by the Turtles or the Kinks or Tommy James and the Shondells.

    Phenomenal record. Their best IMHO.

  24. For a thread about perfect pop songs there sure are a lot of downbeat ballads and folky tracks being offered.

Anyway: here's my selection du jour, perhaps the finest jangle-pop song with no chorus!
