Many out there, my vote for best of all time is Jacques Brel "If We Only Have Love", from the original cast album, a truly moving, universal song that has had many different versions sung over the years. Great concluding number to the show as well

My vote for second place would be the Hollies, "He Aint Heavy He's My Brother", another great song (even though its from 1970, but it's close:))

Probably The Youngblood's version of "Get Together."

I like "Reach Out of The Darkness" - Friend & Lover too.

Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
    Butterflies and zebras
    And moonbeams and fairy tales
That's all she ever thinks about

Get Together by The Youngbloods evokes those days the best for me.
It's often used in footage about that time. Very effective.

Maybe a little more on the angry side but I have always been partial to Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son

I’m sure I’m forgetting something I like more, but “San Francisco” by Scott McKenzie comes to mind.

Not that I really buy the hype at this distance of time but I agree with a couple of people in this thread already.

The Youngbloods - "Get Together". I don't know anything about them other than this song. But it surely nails whatever the illusion was supposed to be.

Here's a really obscure one from 1969, from a group called Wool, I think the title says it all lol. Gotta love that album cover:pleased::pleased:
