Who wouldn't have longed for the Kubrick Archive? I know I did. It was not to be.

I saw the giant sized Kubrick archive book years ago, but bought the medium sized version, as I thought it was more manageable. I now regret not buying the giant one.

Taschen have a giant sized Star Wars archive coming in September.
    I am tempted..

I have quite a few. My favorites being mid century ads, surfing and the capitol records anniversary book! Stunning photos in stunning quality.

They have a store in Beverly Hills that I frequent. It’s as dangerous as a record store for my wallet!

I have many books from this publishing company. In 1991, Taschen published this book about beautiful villas in Dresden (Germany)

Being a Vangelis fan, I've known about the El-Greco box set for some time. It's kinda pricey though, and since I already had the CD, I'd never gotten around to picking it up.

Eventually I corrected this when I discovered that the El Greco CD in the box is a wholly different recording, with all new music. Weird.

However, it's relevant to this thread because the "booklet" in the box is actually a hardcover Taschen book on El Greco.

I've got a few Taschen books....

Stanley Kubrick Archive Edition 1st edition with the 2001 Film Cell and CD
The James Bond Archives w/film strip
Norman Mailer's "Moonfire" original large format photo book about Apollo 11, not the smaller digest sized book

and finally, "The Making Of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey," perhaps the worst designed book in modern history.

Taschen books are always unique. I have a few. I have the full size print book of the complete Little Nemo in Slumberland series. It's very large. I also have a couple of other art related books.

I have the standard edition Rolling Stones 'XL' book, bought when on a discount from Amazon a while ago but as yet unopened. It has an impressive heft to it, one day I hope to get a coffee table that is up to the job of displaying it.
