I took the plush rocker ottoman set from my son’s room and put it in my office. So comfy! I can adjust it not to rock and recline. It’s great.

Those chairs are terrifying. As are speaners that resemble Egyptian sarcophagi or coffins.

The chairs remind me of one of the most intense movies I saw as a youth.

I despise the Eames lounge chair. I guess if you're like 5'6" or whatever it'd be comfortable but for me it's just a device to make my head dangle uncomfortably backwards.

Im surprised by the lack of bean bags being mentioned. I love mine. Sink into it in front of my towering Ascension floorstanding Summoners and just soak it all in...oh man. Thats heaven.

Thanks guys for the poang ikea recommendation, stopped by my local and picked one up, love that it comes in different frame and cushion options, super comfy, very non-ikea looking and passed the WAF!

The Poang is a modern classic.

Nice room BTW - love the floor.

Thank you! I think the floor is cool but my wife hates it (bought house dec 2016). It reminds me of the old Boston Celtics stadium court lol. That’s why she probably hates it :)

I had a Poang for years in the living room and it was the most comfortable seat in the house. I also loved that I could change the pads and upholstery but in the end we had to part ways because the bottom skid is very Roomba unfriendly and caused the little robot to get stuck on it repeatably. It's too bad because I think the Poang is is an extraordinarily smart piece of furniture that proves you can do style,, comfort and practicability and it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg to achieve it.

In the study I use an HM Aeron chair since I also need to work on the PC, but frankly,, it's not as comfortable as you might think and can't compare to the comfort of a Poang.

We have an upholstered "chair and a half"; not as wide as a love seat. Wide enough for a fat listener (me) and a Scottish terrier. Over the years, each of our four Scotties has made it their duty to sit with me during listening sessions.

However, our first Scottie howled - exclusively to Wagner tubas though, so it was more amusing than annoying.
