Sitting this one out. I like the album but well enough not for $100. My next One-step will probably be the Marvin Gaye What's Going On. No big interest in Stevie ray Vaughn.
I ordered mine very late (mid-April) but the order went through so I expect I'll get my copy eventually. I almost didn't bother because when I think of this album, I automatically think of the title song and I'm so tired of it but there are other tracks on the album that I really like so I went for it. My decision was also influenced by the fact that the next batch of One-Step releases are of no interest to me.
Sgt. Pepper or Darkside, perhaps Doors, those are about the only titles I'd spend the cash for in this format. I'm not even up on how the master tapes are for those titles.
I got Abraxas and Nightfly….one of those I see as not the wisest of decisions....notwithstanding the resale value.
I did like it, just felt it didn't live up to the bar set by what came before from the One Steps. Just a poor choice by MoFi, IMO. I opted out on the latest ...same reason. I hope that I am wrong for those that purchased. 45 rpm will make anything sound bigger, it's the better part that concerns me. Anyhoo….resale value makes it a no brainer, not sure what that says about my decision...
