Did you order yours from Interpol directly or Matador? I ordered from Matador and will post my pressing info when it arrives.

Ah, cool... didn't see the "cream" colored vinyl for indies... very nice! I ordered the red vinyl from Matador and it's in transit.

Well, you know that I don't buy very many new releases on vinyl but I've bought most of the Interpol vinyl direct from Matador over the years so why stop now! I just realized I've got 120g, 150g, 180g and 10th anniversary vinyl editions of TOTBL and nothing for Antics. :shake:

You need to get the 210g version next, forget Antics!

I'm hoping for a high res version as I don't do the vinyl thing. Haven't seen any preorders yet. Fingers crossed. :)

It's a fantastic package with great bonus content and linernotes but sonically it doesn't offer any drastic improvements or revelations. If you own an older vinyl version.

So in order to pay those inflated prices - keep in mind this was something like 30$ new - you have to have quite an Interpol fetish. As a set it's well done though.

My copy of "Marauder" is waiting at my local store. And I won't make it until Monday. Damned...

(Edit: Just saw that Discogs has the deluxe "TOTBB" for 66€ plus shipping. I probably would pay that.)

These various weight versions of "TOTBL" were confusing as hell. If I remember correctly the 2002 original was 150.

I asked Matador about the different cuts, here is what they said “All GZ pressings are DMM so there isn't a lacquer cut.”

The black US is a lacquer cut.

    there's 24/96 on hdtracks. Can't find hi-res on Qobuz or 7digital.

I'm waiting to hear what it sounds like before buying as I have a few Fridmann productions sitting on my shelf that I can't bear to play because they sound so awful.

It showed up at Qobuz today. While it doesn't say hi-res in the "Les Nouveautés" frame, it takes you to the hi-res version when you click it.

Still not seeing it at 7digital in Canada but they seem to work on west coast time

Yes, I think you're right and then they did the 120g and 180g reissues later. I missed the 10th anniversary deluxe edition on vinyl because of a mixup but did get the CD set and that is very nice too. Would have been nice to get the vinyl DE though. The 10th anniversary vinyl I ended up with is just the single LP.

Same question - is bonus material all that good? It looked like mostly demos which don't interest me much.

At the risk of being exposed as an imposter on SHF, or denounced a non-fan on this thread, I will disclose that my only copy of TOTBL is a bitching' digital MP3 file from the old eMusic store. :hide:

So I'm listening to the 24 bit / 96 kHz download from Qobuz and it sounds awful. Admittedly I've changed several things in my listening chain so it could be on my end, but it sounds like an AM broadcast.

I like the songs but the sound....

Dave, I like Interpol a lot and if money were no object...

I'm listening to the new one on iTunes, and full disclosure, my entire Interpol collection consists of digital files including some from Amazon.

I'm enjoying it so far Dave. They aren't exactly breaking any new ground, but I wasn't expecting that!

Jeff, here's the entire forum's view of you only having mp3s of TOTBL... :shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake::shake:
