More info here including info about unreleased live recordings and revisiting old tracks in 2018: QUEEN NEWS

Given the scope of this, I find this OST containing more gems than, for example, the NOTW40 box in terms of rare & unreleased. Still they can't compare to PF Early Years or John Lennon Imagine 2018 - but hey! - let's keep fingers crossed for Queen Anthology...

The only thing that I'm interested in here is the re-recording of the Smile track by May, Taylor and Tim Staffell.

Was wondering if they do a double vinyl of this, but seems unlikely unless RSD or Black Friday RSD

Judging by the inclusion of The Show Must Go On (for a movie that's supposed to end with Live Aid), I reckon when the credits are rolling, The Show Must Go On will be playing.

A greatest hits with some cool things, could be better.

I can't wait to hear Queen's version of 20th Century Fox Fanfare. :D

So the divorce is final. We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions have finally split. What's next? Heartbreaker and Living Loving Maid? Venus and Mars and Rock Show?

Re-recording of "Doing All Right" with the original Smile lineup? Face it, none of us saw that coming. Pretty cool.

Also stoked to hear the 20th Century Fox theme done up Queen style :)

A Brian May guitar orchestration would be nice.

It would be nice to have the Live Aid set on CD (although a lot of its magic is from the commanding visuals of Freddie), but the rest of the soundtrack seems pretty meh.

On a not so unrelated note, there's a couple of new shots in this clip from the movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody is on there two times too many.

The Live Aid version was only short, a part of the beginning section of it before they went into Radio Gaga.

Well, my birthday is 25/10 so that's that sorted. Might even go to the cinema to watch the film.

I agree, why put the song that the film & album are named after on the album itself, makes far too much sense for Queen!

Very curious to hear the new tracks, but I don't really want to buy this...

But studio versions included. Makes sense, sadly :)

I wonder if they have been able to improve the audio of Live Aid compared to what’s on the Montreal blu ray

  21. Presumably this is from the '75 concert rather than the '79 show, which frustratingly still remains officially unavailable in full... Maybe next year for its 40th anniversary or as the video part of a massively expanded Live Killers boxed set?

Not likely, Queen have pretty much disavowed that album. They believe the production and many of the tracks were sub par. The last time they re-released Live Killers was back in 1991 when Hollywood Records became their U.S. label.

Out of all the tracks listed, these are the only ones worth something to me. The rest are just re-hash of every other compilation or album widely available.

While I get what you mean, keep this in mind: this film is not made for the die hards. Nor is the subsequent soundtrack release

With that in mind, I am surprised they included the tracks you highlighted. Massive hits could have been there instead

If they had included the entire Live Aid set, I would buy this. Otherwise, no thanks...
