... if there are no copies of it on the used market?

Put it out there with a big price tag attached. If it doesn't sell at that price - go down until it does. That final price will be the market value. ;)

Look it up on Discogs. They have historical sale price data for most SKUs.

Something about this record makes you think it might be worth more than the dollar I assume you paid for it :), so what is that? What made you want to buy this record? Why would you choose this one, from the many millions of records available?

When you go to the release page on Discogs there is no record of it ever selling? I rarely see that. Even if there is not one currently for sale, the Statistics section will let you look at past sales by clicking on the highlighted "Last Sold" link.

Yeah, there's no trace of it. It's really weird. It's a limited edition single from one year ago with 1000 copies pressed. I mean, maybe nobody who has one ever wants to part with it, so no listings have been made?

It's listed on Discogs as part of the Savage Young Du compilation. You might be able to find some sales history for the 7" alone by looking at the various versions of that compilation that included the 7".

yes, I got that, sheesh ...

Box with it is going for $140, sealed box with it was $289.99, so list it accordingly ...

it's a little unique, which is why we needed to know the item, and in this case, no one may have split it out of the box yet, instead holding the sealed box to sell.

you won't find it on discogs as a standalone item because it wasn't released as such and therefore prohibited from having it's own entry. that'll make it a little more confusing to try and gauge a value.
