I personally have to down-sample them to 96KHz because that's the maximum rate by setup can handle but 192KHz files sure take up a lot of dubious space on a hard drive

A straight transfer to DSD would be nice.

Doesn't the thickness of 180 or 200 g. records allow for deeper grooves which enables the pressing to enrich the quality of sound, such as better bass reproduction?

I work in film production from time to time (for a while it was all the time) and it made me hate movies more, and love movies more. I'm sure it's the same as what you're asking Steve. You notice and are annoyed by avoidable problems, lazy or just poor decisions, but are amazed & inspired by the quality stuff even more.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

So, shorter sides (time wise) at faster speeds do increase sound quality reproduction on an LP?

Steve, can you recommend one of the CDs you have mastered to set up speaker placement for the most natural bass response?

Steve, if you had two pick one of each, what mastering job for cd are you most proud of and what job were you least pleased with the final result?

How did Audio Fidelity's "Collector's Edition 10 Inch Vinyl LP" from Kate Bush's Hounds of Love come about?
The credits say "Production Coordinator for this LP: Ernie Campagna" did he produce it ... who chose the four tracks included?

Hey Steve, listening to the Nat King Cole Christmas remaster.....I can't remember if you had anything to do with this remaster, but I DO remember you turning me on to it. Now that November is here I'm listening to Christmas music a bit, and a couple of tunes from this SACD popped up... getting a bit emotional because this is what I remember playing when my Mom and Dad were still around...this is such a great thing to listen to, so well done...bringing back a LOT of great memories...THANKS!!

I had nothing to do with it. They took my mix of THE CHRISTMAS SONG and that's it. I think the rest is from the old stereo tape.

Well, The Christmas Song was the first thing I heard, and it just took me back to happy times. Well done. Best mix on the SACD.
