Her Majesty's is not the album closing track. It's a hidden track. It wasn't originally listed on the artwork and is meant as a joke.

Me to but I took "Get Back" instead. Others were TMK and Day in The Life.

    Worser rules means fewer participants.

I like songs that seem to have been written especially for the ending. Makes it almost like a concept album. Like The Smashing Pumpkins "Meloncholy & The Infinite Sadness".

I was joking, i have had all the Beatles albums for over 30 years. I just find the Beatles frenzy on this forum rather comical

I like the inner groove on Pepper. If God blows my mind with A Day In the Life, I appreciate I divine pinch on the ass after. :bdance:

Well, maybe so, and I find the anti Beatles troops a bit silly too ;)

I understand it, but I got so tired of it :)

You would think a resource like Best Ever Albums could get it right then.

    Abbey Road by The Beatles

Or at least inform the observer that it's a hidden track, in which case of course I would have selected The End.

Either or could work for me as best closing track

That's nice to know. The End at least has its place alongside TMK and ADITL and another song to be decided.

That, indeed, is the best one and deserves it's own post in bold.

Doesn't really matter - even if you just include the one Beatles option they will win in a canter

My third favourite from the list and on 28 votes so doing OK. It's clearly superior musically to most of the options but people like what they like

Both "All You Need Is Love" (and the fab B-side) and Pepper were the soundtrack to the summer of love

  25. With where it finished in the recent "Magical Mystery Tour" poll (was a single vote poll- with a multiple voted option, I bet it would have fared better) & now this poll...

I am inclined to say that "All You Need Is Love" is quite probably their most underrated top shelf great work.

There was not only no hesitation in my trio of choices, but as great as my 3 honorable mentions are,
/were, my 3 vote getters just seem tto be from a truly rarified place

    Tomorrow Never Knows
    A Day In The Life
    All You Need Is Love

    Honorable mention:
    Twist & Shout
    Goodnight
    Get Back
