    "These Days" has been eliminated.

This takes us to our final pair.

Now, remember, you are voting for for the song that you believe is the weaker of the two, NOT the song you believe is stronger.

Discussion Question: What would your personal final pairing be?

Up Next: LandHorses will be running LOS ANGELES by X.

    3 These Days
    4 Cuyahoga
    5 I Believe
    6 Superman
    7 Swan Swan H (Round 3)
8 The Flowers Of Guatemala (Round 3)
    9 Hyena (Round 2)
10 What If We Give It Away? (Round 2)
    11 Just A Touch (Round 1)
12 Underneath The Bunker (Round 1)

    Begin The Begin to win!

    NOT!!!!! ;)

My personal ideal pairing is Fall On Me and Cuyahoga.
That song about a river that caught on fire was so incredulous to me...

The middle 8 section in Fall is achingly perfect in its structure, melody and execution thus demanding victory over the wonderful Begin.

Me too. Those two for me are the go to songs on this rather good record.

  8. "Begin The Begin" off, so "Fall On Me" for the win!

DQ?: "Fall On Me" wins over either "I Believe" or "Cuyahoga", with most honorable, non-finalist, mentions to both "Begin The Begin" & "These Days"- great top 5 here!
Most underrated track, from these results would be "What If We Give It Away"

Not anything less than terrific tracks on as great an album as they ever released - along with "Reckoning" (most honorable mentions to "Murmur" & "Fables Of The Reconstruction")

Tough one but have to vote out Begin the Begin. Fall on Me is one of their finest.

DQ: Probably Fall on Me and Cuyahoga. On certain days, it could be the two we are currently voting on though.

I'll take the obvious unpopular position here. Begin the Begin was the finest opening track for ANY albulm released in that decade. Not to diminish Fall On Me, but it lacks the demand for attention that Begin has . . . So Fall on Me has to go.

Best two are the two that remain: Fall On Me and Begin the Begin

Though I voted for Fall on Me to go in the last round, now I have to go with Begin the Begin. I love that song so much, but I always hear it as one song merged with These Days. On its own, Fall on Me is a stronger song.

Begin The Begin for the win.

It's hard for me to believe the single is winning. In a tight race, I'd probably always vote the album track.
    Cool!

Fall On Me might as well be an album track, it barely scraped the Top 100.

I voted Begin The Begin off. As a few others mentioned, my final two would probably be Fall On Me and Cuyahoga, or perhaps What If We Give It Away.

I disagree. It was very much "the" single from that album. And while, as you point out, it was 94 on the Billboard Hot 100, it was 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks. It got a lot of FM radio play at the time. And the band played it a lot more than Begin The Begin. It gets two appearances on the recent BBC set, and Begin The Begin gets nada.

I prefer Begin The Begin because it rawks. Fall On Me is still a good to great song, of course.

Finally, it's time for "Fall on Me" to go.

"Begin the Begin" with "Fall on Me" would also be my final, with "Begin the Begin" taking the win.
I think it happened for the first time, since I am participating in these weakest links polls, that my two favorite tracks made it to the final.
