Super High Material special plastic for better sound? I'll bet the paper sleeves also add to the sound quality by sealing it in.
I've got some beachfront land in Nebraska that's one heckuva deal, too.

What does "much cleaner sound dynamics" mean?

Does anyone want Led Zep to sound much cleaner? ;)

Hmmmm. I am a sucker for this type of thing. I wish they would use the Diament remasters. I am sure they won't. So will this be the same Jimmy Page remixes? Does anyone have any of these SHM CD's? Is there any thing special about them?

So any update? From what I can tell looking at other sites these look to be the Marino/Page versions. Yes?

Has anyone heard these? Is this strictly for collector's?

I have an issue with the statement about the In Through The Out Door covers. On vinyl, cover "F" became the standard for the 80's pressings. (It says so on the spine!). Is the CD cover "B" ? Is that what they mean? I have 5 out of the 6 vinyl covers including original paper bags. All I lack is cover "D". Does the inside slip cover for this CD have the built in water color paints? Now that would be cool!

If anyone's really considering it, they should check CD Japan instead of eBay. Last time I checked it was around US$255 plus shipping as opposed to the $315+ on eBay.

This is intresting - look what it says on the Remaster...

    I found it on E-Bay :

LED ZEPPELIN-LED ZEPPELIN 1 JAPAN LIMITED EDITION MINI-LP SHM CD NEW

Advanced release. Genuine Collectors Item, Very Limited, to
celebrate the band's 40th anniversary! Beautiful New Japanese First
Edition SHM Mini-LP Remaster. Even though they have written that
they are using the 1994 re-masters, they will be using the much ,
much better sounding , Led Zeppelins (Made in Japan), 2003/2005
Paper Sleeve editions! SHM-CDs , sound just amazing and are not a
    gimmick.

    Features include,

    * Printed in turquoise blue ink - Recreating the rare UK initial
press version of the jacket sleeve design!
    * Small jacket sleeve - in a size smaller than the regular LP
    * PP coated - The plastic coating originally applied only to E-format
    * RED-MAROON label - Not the "green-orange" tones of the regular
    Atlantic Records titles but
    * the original UK "red-maroon" colouring!
    * Gramophone belt - The sky-blue sleeve belt attached by the
original distributor in Japan of the title "Japan Gramophone"

This classic Rock Blues album has never sounded so good. (Superb
new SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) developed by JVC and Universal
Music Japan. Polycarbonate plastic with improved transparency is
used for the disc surface for enhanced audio offering superior sound
quality compared to US or European pressings. Listening to this is a
phenomenal experience, as if you are in the studio with the
    musicians)!

    * Please be advised that the import edition, to be out in late
October, will be in the regular CD format; SHM-CD is applied to the
Japanese edition only. Also please note that the import version will
    not contain "description/lyrics/translated lyrics".

Yes, but perfectly reading the data on a disc that has been re-mastered, but in a way that is not true to the original LP presssings.... We'll have to see what the tests show.....
