I was looking at some older threads, and thought I would give this a shot. I am not talking about something like "Plan 9 from Outer space" which is watchable if only for novelty or humor, but a truly bad film, that should have been much better, and makes one cringe when they watch it. One that makes you wish you had the two hours spent watching it back.

For me it would be Robert Altman's Pret A Porter (aka Ready To Wear). I had heard it was bad, and wanted to watch it only for the scene where Sophia Loren relives her striptease for Marcello Mastroianni which was originally in the 1970s film Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. It was complete torture! Like nails on a chalkboard. I liked The Player which came out just before this I think and had a similar style, with lots of celebrity and actors playing a lot of cameos and roles and such, but it did not work with this one. I had to stop watching, it was just terrible. Yes I know how it ended.

    Let's hear some more.

    Dogville (Lars Von Trier film).

I saw it at The Toronto Film Festival and couldn't run fast enough
out of the theater. Me and a bunch of other people!

I do, however, like The Five Obstructions also by Lars Von Trier.

I thought about getting this one on Blu Ray but balked. I vaguely rememer seeing it back in the early 80's. IIRC it has lots of sex scenes but also had some torture scenes which really were hard to watch.

Am I thinking of the same film?

I can't pick the worst. Top 3, perhaps:
    Spawn
Daredevil (almost saved by Colin Farrell)
    Trapped in Paradise

    Nightmare Before Christmas.

Everything that could go wrong all night (prior to and at the theatre) did. Too long a story to tell right now, but I'd just as soon eat gravel as watch that show again.

That's it. It was made by Penthouse and Helen Mirren, Malcolm McDowell and John Gielgud (I think) were in it. To their great regret, I would imagine.

The one with the dwarf as the star with that dude who played Jim Morrison in the Doors movie as the second lead. What a dog, so much potential, so zero delivered.

The only two movies I've ever walked out on were Vanilla Sky (near the end) and 1941 (after about a half-hour).

I couldn't tell you how many I've shut off at home.

I guess we could eliminate sequels too, cause I could add more to the list.

I just walked out on Bill Maher's new film.....I forgot I would not be able to take 2 hrs of his "Smugging"

Since you mentioned Robert Altman, how about Popeye? And the music is awful.

"Raining Arizona" - it's the only time we have walked out of the cinema - utter garbage.

A lot of other films would qualify but I don't watch them.

I assume you mean RaiSing Arizona, and I agree. I never understood the love for this film.

Oceans 12 (granted, it's a sequel) is the other that comes to mind. Such a great cast and the first movie was pretty good, but this one sucked wind.

I forgot about The Matrix. I couldn't make it past the 30 minute mark.
