Roy Buchanan - Nils Lofgren play Shotgun 1971

I know I'm not the only one here who saw the 1971 PBS special "Introducing Roy Buchanan". My favorite part was Roy and his band with Roy's protege Nils Lofgren jamming on Shotgun. Something made me think about this the other day so I checked You Tube and there it was. Enjoy.

Pretty cool stuff. Never saw that before. I don't think Nils gets to solo like that with the Boss much..

The original PBS show was 90 minutes.Find a copy if you can.Outstanding show.

 

Nils always gets one long solo in Bruce shows. usually in Because the Night, Ghost Tom joad or Youngstown. Or an an acoustic like the solo/intro to Countin' on a Miracle.
