Just for fun, obviously... I had a long virtual relationship with Shaun Murphy when she was with Clapton in '86 and with Claudia Lennear of Brown Sugar fame.

James Taylor had a back-up singer that I fell in love with. Literally. And her with me.

Would not have worked because she was always (and I mean ALWAYS) on tour.

    What would have been!

Several years ago, Brian Setzer had a blonde that absolutely floored me (I think she was on the Japanese live cd), and I don't mean his now-wife. This lady was much younger, and as you'd expect, she had a very sharp outfit on.

Carolyn Leonhart who has toured with Steely Dan in the Twenty Os. Really good singer and hot to boot. Her dad is the great bassist Jay Leonhart just for folks who need to know that kind of stuff!

Developed a short-term crush on both background singers (Lynn Mabry and Edna Holt, I think) when I saw Talking Heads twice on their last tour.

If they're the two singers in the Stop Making Sense movie, then I've been in a shameless crush with both of them for over a quarter century now.

I wasn't in love with her but I got pretty close to Carolyn Willis while we were out with Seals & Crofts. For those that don't know she sang on Get Closer and a few other S&C songs, but came from the group Honeycomb.

The coconut who was married to August Darnell. Stood at stage front in the National Stadium decades ago looking up at her utterly entranced. Still remember it.

AnnMarie Milazzo has toured with Jonatha Brooke's band a few times; also adds keyboard and wind instrument support. This screencap does not do her justice.

Sorry to interrupt the romantic mood but what was that promo of Motley Crue with back up singers that made Pamela Anderson look, you know, flat?:D

Also the vintage 60's Tina Turner vids like River Deep Mountain High had incredibly hot back up singers.

And wasn't Olivia Newton-John sometimes touring as Cliff Richard's back up singer in the early 70's?

Now I remember I had a brief crush (unrequited) on a wild Tom Petty back-up vocalist who was with him at Live Aid and on the Pack Up The Plantation VHS: Carol Sue Hill.

I fully endorse Kelly Clarkson's back-up singers Kate and Jill, especially Kate Rapier (on the right).

Judy Mowatt from the I-Threes (Bob Marley's Back-Up trio - members were Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt), but more in a kind of respectful way, not just about the sexy vibes...that must have been Frau Schmitts from the Wild Romance (Hermann Brod around 1982 or so. no pictures a very hot blonde
