With the domestic and import Cds not causing any sonic bliss, this will be a SH-style huge improvement!

    I've Been There Too...

Great news, I remember you started a thread last month about wanting to tackle this gem of record, but then that thread suddenly vanished without a chance to change the world...

Very much looking forward to this one on AF.

Been playing the Space In Time BGO Cd and the old 70s Columbia vinyl on CD-r recently since that thread's inspiration... Hope this one come out by JULY 2011-the 40th anniversary...

And I've just discovered that I now own more AF gold Cds than I do DCC Gold Cds, though I really cherish them all...

    cheers,

Now that has my attention. I am more interested in that title than any of the other announced from AF and MFSL.

What about a true 4-channel master for a sacd? It's one of the best quad mix ever done. Makes your listening room just explode.

Ten Years After A SPACE IN TIME mastering finished..

    Mastering completed.

I think you'll like it. We polished the diamond to give the best glow. A layer of Telefunken vacuum tubes reinforced the midband and the natural ambiance capture of the A/D system at Marsh helped in making this version an accurate representation of what they were going for in the studio back in 1971.

    We hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, great album. TYA's A Space In Time and BadCo's Straight Shooter are two super choices, can't wait for both as they're right up there with some of my fave lps.

  14. I have Mobile Fidelity's Ultradisc of "Cricklewood Green"...I'll be all over this one when it makes it out of the pressing plant for sale!!!:goodie:

    Cool.

I am no expert, far from it.

I realize every case is different but it seems to me that whenever tubes are involved in the mastering the end result is worth the effort. :righton:

Looking forward to hearing this as I loved it as a kid and I don't think I've heard it since the late 70's.

It has their best known song but I think Cricklewood Green is the strongest album overall.

Great choice! Never had it on CD. My old vinyl copy is a bit worn. This album rocks, but has some great ambient moments, too. Can't wait to hear this on gold disc!! Thanks for doing it!

Does it have that strange speed issue on "Working On The Road"? As far as I remember, it was there on Chrysalis vinyl and on the early CD version too (can't remember year/cat. # now).
