    No, just studios who do with whatever this week's focus group tells them. I'm sure there A LOT of great scripts out there but are too "edgy".

    The other scary thing is, this is going to be a one-hour show, reportedly much more serious than the original series, according to Deadline: Hollywood.

    They tried "The Munsters Today" years ago and it wound up playing on Saturday afternoons which is pretty much a death spot. Just ask The New Monkees.

    One hour? And a 180 from the classic show? Singer must like playing Russian Roulette. An hour based on the original would have been a stretch.

    Oh, how the mighty have fallen. :sigh:

    In an alternate universe in my mind, Bryan Singer stayed with the X-Men franchise and went on to solidify his position as one of our top directors.

    With Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) and Bryan Singer on board, I'm interested.

    Not after Superman Returns... :sigh:

    I agree, he did a great job on X-Men and The Usual Suspects. Singer has made some strange choices since then.

    Brian Fuller's "Dead Like Me" was great when he was involved with it, and a "Munsters" reboot with that kind of tone could actually work.

    you may have the answer to my question?...Why is the picture quality on the DVD Superman Returns so supersaturated? If that's the correct term? almost a soft pastel quality...

    and...Is he a fan of the Munsters TV Show? I wonder...

    Yes, and cowardice on the part of the investors.

    I'd rather see an Addams family over the Munsters.

    I watched Superman Returns last night. At times the movie looks like claymation. The colour palate is best describes as "ultra drab". The half hour long ending is a downer. What I like about the movie is Kevin Spacey. Bryan Singer is definitely not a cinematic genius or has a lot to learn.

    The Munsters again.... :( :rolleyes::thumbsdn:

    will it be a comedy or a drama? this looks and sounds very strange ! If its a comedy I don't know if Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis who worked very well together can be replicated.

    Pretty sad when one of the most talented directors in Hollywood has nothing better or more original to do than remake a 50 year old television comedy.
