I assume you're talking live shows specifically, right? If that's the case I would probably choose one of the shows from Springsteen's 1978 tour.

Lynyrd Skynyrd opened for ZZ Top Tickets were $4.00 each.

Free Bird threw the crowd into such a frenzy, that they stayed worked up all through the load-out, Top's load-in, and during the first two songs of Top's set, the chant was deafening " WE WANT SKYNYRD ! WE WANT SKYNYRD ! "

I'll never forget it obviously, and I'd love to be able to go back and take my 29 year-old son with me ! :agree:

I got your back on that one.

Hell, I'd even take one for the team -- maybe John would come visit me while I'm convalescing, I would explain to him where I came from (with proof of course), that life is short and please can he get the band back together and make the magic happen again.

Oh, and since I'd likely see George at some point too, I'd plead with him to stop smoking.

Yeah, this is something I've already got worked out in my head - been planning it since 1981. :)

Go back to the day before music died and officially ground the aircraft from flying, thus forcing Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, The Big Bopper and Waylon to all take the bus.

All apologies to Don McLean; you'll have to rewrite American Pie.

Nearly everyone in the crowd went on to become famous either in a band or in the industry.

Now if we're talking studio sessions, then I would without hesitation want to be in Sun Recording Studio on July 5-6, 1954.
