Oh, I see the background is a framed poster of the titles?

At AS in Salina, they have a wall filled with a display of their record Blue Note reissue record covers. It's pretty cool. It looks just like your poster, but much bigger. You picture looked like it could have been shot their with an interesting angle.

When you step into their warehouse you have to be careful: your knees weaken and you start drooling uncontrollably. :D

Yeah, it's 2 posters from Acoustic Sounds that I framed myself.

Dippin' is the one Blue Note I have an original of. A mono first pressing.

Have any subscribers received their September issues? My card was charged last week and Acoustic Sounds shows them in stock. I have not received mine nor a tracking number for them.

I received my tracking number, they should be on the way soon.

    No problem. :)

If I recall correctly, I think it was sometime during the first year, Joe posted that he was considering such an idea. I have not heard anything since though.

    Hey!
I see my card was hit from MM, has anyone received their records?
After a 2 month hiatus I would expect a some real gems to be on their way.
I see an early Herbie Hancock and the Jazz messengers "Free for All" which Ron just raves about, I don't have either of these as originals. However, from what Ron has said "Free For All" is one of the very best as far as dynamics of percussion.

Does anyone have this they can spin up to review for us? Then to compare?

    Just dreaming....

I got both of them yesterday. Listened to Herbie Hancock's Inventions & Dimensions and it's great. Had never heard it before. Haven't gotten to the Jazz Messengers yet. They both look great, obviously.

I'm not a subscriber but I do order most of the releases. Just ordered Art Blakely and the Jazz Messengers Free For All. Also ordered AP's Ike Quebec's Blue & Sentimental.

It seems to have been several months since any individual Music Matters 45 rpm titles went out of print. I hope that members here will alert the forum if they see a particular title begin to be classified as "last chance" or "out of print" at any of the various mail order sites that carry the series (musicmattersjazz.com, acousticsounds.com, elusivedisc.com, etcetera). I will do the same, of course. I think such information would be appreciated by the people following this thread.

    Thanks,

If you want a specific title, you better grab it while it's still in print. You can't really depend on other people to keep you informed. :shake:

I agree completely. It's just a request for information sharing, and I'm sure it will help at least a few people here at some point...

I got my latest shipment a few days ago, but haven't had a chance to check them out.. hopefully tomorrow. Really looking forward to Free For All..

I'm surprised that no one else has anything to say about these new titles...

Just got mine two days ago. Got them washed and did one casual listen of the sides. Haven't yet gone back to sit down and listen more carefully. I hope to do that this weekend hopefully.

On "Speak No Evil" the matrix shows what I think is "KG/RR@CA" ...

Is that really RR? And who this RR working with Kevin? Ron Rambach from MM?

Long time since Steve stopped being involved in mastering MM titles - probably three years or so or even more.
