There is a cheapo boxset of all the Jam albums out in December, Amazon code B009F89FK4.

Really on the fence with this one. Anyone able to find it on the Yep Roc site for US sale yet? If the price is right I may be in. The package looks great, as does the DVD.

Sadly, I have an original 1982 tour programme already, now rendered practically worthless by the replica included here!

So we now have three versions of Solid Bond? Man, that's a lot of work put into a song that didn't make the grade (at the time).

Well, it was in the running to be the farewell single, so it makes sense that they worked it pretty hard before deciding to go with "Beat Surrender" instead.

I still prefer "Solid Bond" as a tune.

This looks nice but is way too dear for an album i think is merely quite good in the first place. I think i have all i want on my extant copies of the Direction box set and Extras vinyl.

It does look like they have had a look at the Who Live At Leeds boxed set (which i have) and other astronimically expensive sell out ones with little real musical add-ons and said "hang on we missed the boat on the Jam with the All Mod Cons and Sound Affects 2 disc sets, lets take the last album where we can get some demos and old video and shove everything into a £100+ box and the die hards with fill our boots for Xmas".

The Gift is being presented as a classic heritage rock album here. It's about the 5th best Jam album. All Mod Cons deserves all this not The Gift. The MFSL All Mod Cons/Sound Affects cd is still the best digital Jam you need to own.

    thanks for the tip
looks like a good deal to snatch all albums at once in a neat small boxset
never liked this band much though , Weller's voice ( just like Costello ) irritates me and i found his songwriting way overrated
One of those bands , ' i should like'

Good news eh Karl and another thank you to Jon for pushing for it.

The only downside at the moment is six of the announced demos don't appear on the Itunes preview. I hope that's an error of some sort and PW hasn't changed his mind.
