    Has this been posted?

    From Steve's Facebook page.

"About to remaster for Audio Fidelity SACD Hybrid YES "Going For The One" with Stephen Marsh. I promise I'll find the bass for you. Not one of my favorite album covers though. Reminds me of gym class..."

It was mentioned in the AF Close To The Edge thread, but it makes sense to give it its own.

Good for fans of the album....I personally never liked it but more audiophile discs being mastered/manufactured is a good thing!

Can there really be that much gold in the gold CDs? That gold layer has to be only a few molecules thick.

Listening to my rip of the 2003 remastered CD through headphones, and while I can hear Chris' bass, it could afford to be more prominent. :agree:

Bought this album in 1977, as a new release, right after a live show. One of my favorites.

Also, I for one can live without the gold plating on AF's CDs. That is, if Marshall's counting votes.

    No matter.
Put the thread on your watch list.
I believe hearing all the wondrous stories of shipping updates will help you develop a finer appreciation of Going For The One's majesty.

Turn of the Century: one of the best things they ever did. A very beautiful song and wonderful lyrics. I have the original Atlantic disc, but this is good news.

Not familiar with the album, but I'll get it on the basis on how much I enjoyed CTTE SH remaster

Holy moly, I am excited about this. I love this album to death but the sound has always left something to be desired. I have high hopes for this one!

This is a no brainer for me, btw. Very happy about this.

FWIW if AF ever considered the following, they would also be instant purchases for me:
    Relayer
    Tales
    Tormato
    Drama
    The Ladder
    Talk
I would also snap up AWBH.

(Not saying I wouldn't like to see Fragile or the Yes Album but that seems highly unlikely given that MoFi recently put them out.)

Going For The One is possibly my favourite Yes album so I'm really looking forward to hearing what Steve brings out of it.

Very exciting stuff! I think this one is in even more need of Steve's touch than Relayer, not that it doesn't need his help as well!
