Last year at a used record store, I found Starbuck's Chuck Berry CD/DVD combo (with the "Hail/Hail" Rock n' Roll" DVD) for $4. And recently, at Staples, I found a $7.99 double CD with Chuck's "After School Session" and one other ("One Dozen Berries", I think). The set had a bunch of bonus tracks with some fake stereo mixes, but I think it was a good deal.

  9. Bought a West German Atomic of Cinderella Night Songs this morn. Thought it would just be an old us pressing (I think both are the same anyway) But still cool to get a W/G disc in there for $5
Ran into Willie R. as well:D:righton:

    Picked up tonight...

    Led Zeppelin - Presence (remaster)

Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien

Chicago - the one from the early 80s with Hard To Say I'm Sorry. Always loved the sound quality of the original LP release, looking forward to see if this retains some of that sound.

I picked up Depeche Mode - Violator. They had a bunch of other new (old) albums but none that I really needed.

I can't answer this but it reminds me how much I giggle to myself when I see pre-naughty sticker Prince titles in the Walmart bin. It just shows how ridiculous their attempts at censorship/protecting families fail when any 10 year old can go in and pick up a copy of "1999" or "Purple Rain" :D

Yes, the Pantera CD is edited in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart.

One gem you must try and look for is Exile's Mixed Emotions as it is only available at Wal-Mart stores for $5 on CD.

  17. Best Buy has over 600 CDs at the moment on special sale for $3.99. I think this is a Black Friday promotion running all week. Most of the albums are usual suspects from the Walmart bins like Rush and Santana:

Saw some newer titles from Kings of Leon, NIN, Arcade Fire and Daft Punk for $6.99 each, too.

There was a time when Wal-Mart had a "Christian" section that was at least as big as the rock section, and they also had a huge Latina section that was almost as big (in my area, anyway).

This was always a real "head scratcher" for me. But classic rock is the last genre standing (basically) now at my Wal Mart now that they've whittled the CD section down to almost nothing.

Our Wal-Mart still has a Christian section and a Latina section.

If Wal-Mart was handing out $5 bills and free cd's I still wouldn't step in that place. Hell on Earth

The biggest issue I have is Walmart carrying only edited CD's when they also carry R rated movies & M rated video games.
