I don't know much about bass playing. But I was very impressed with Tal's playing on Jeff Beck's Live at Ronnie Scott's Blu-Ray. I guess some might see a pretty face and right away think "she can't play" without really knowing if she can or can not ;).

Nice, i have this one :)

  4. As a bass player, I feel somewhat qualified to say - she's good. Her looks are a bonus, of course, but she's genuinely good. I'd kill to be half that talented.

Tal isn't intimidated by hanging out and playing with Jeff Beck. One of her favorite ways of referring to Beck is to call him Jeffrey Beckery. More power to her.

I sure would be intimidated in front of a master. Giant kudoa to her!

some years back, Tal sat in for the first time with ABB 2006-03-21 on "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed"... does anyone know if this performance is on any available CD or vid?

Are you jealous? Believe it or not, there are actually music fans here that appreciate her talent.

I was at that concert, it wasn't recorded, as none of the Beacon shows were recorded then. If you go on the ABB bulletin board you may find a member who can help you...

She toured Australia with Chick Corea, she toured the world with Jeff Beck, her album Transformation is excellent, and she toured with Wayne Krantz and Keith Carlock in support of that album. You can't do that on looks alone, she is a talented and gifted musician.

Check out Jeff and Tal's set from Crossroads Guitar Festival last night. Great! The clips are on YouTube.

She also played in Herbie Hancock's band and the Allman Brothers asked her to sit in with them. Not too shabby resume.

If Joe isn't going to reform the original James Gang for new material, this seems like about the 2nd best bet for some hot new Walsh material.

Definitely a Tal fan after hearing the Crossroads DVD, and Live at Ronnie Scott's.

Let's just say she has "multiple" talents! ;)

I have her first album "Transformation". I bought it after watching her Beck and Clapton concert videos. I think I like her chemistry on stage more than her solo material, but she is very good. Who knows, maybe she will write an Epic album one of these days...
