Forum member Turnaround posted an interesting poll asking whether people save the stickers that appear on LPs and CDs. Got me to thinking about how some of them are pretty cool. In particular, I always like the one on The Beatles' "Love Songs" album because it was designed to look like a gold plate, riveted onto the faux-leather jacket.

    Here are my favorites...

Cool idea for a thread. I like the stickers on Draw the line very much, not my favourite album by Aerosmith but the stikers look very good on that cover

The disclaimer sticker that was on the Metallica Master of Puppets promo LP is classic! I can't post it here, however, due to multiple swear words. Google it. :)

The OP's Nat King Cole sticker for "Wild Is Love" is funny in so many ways.

How much would you expect to pay for the greatest album ever recorded by Nat King Cole? $19.99? $9.99?

It teases you with a full-color book of photos of girls.

I love the asterisk on the price ("* Optional with dealer")

A couple more... The second one is from Springsteen's 1986 box set, "Live 1975-85."

A few unusual stickers, in that they were used for cassettes ... one of them a cassingle, no less!

Ha, I don't remember ever seeing that sticker even though I got my copies of both on release day. I do remember the one from The Spaghetti Incident (but can't find a pic of it) which had a list of ingredients that included something like "Explicit f***in' lyrics" along with tomato sauce.

It's on the vinyl, I should have noted that. I've never seen it in CDs.

That disclaimer did appear with the Use Your Illusion CDs, but on the longbox, not on the CDs themselves.

I always got a kick outta this one from Minutemen's Double Nickels On The Dime CD. I remember buying it in the early 90's and it came in a blister pack. The sticker was on the blister pack so I had to cut around it with a pair of scissors and I stuffed it in the back of the rear tray. Sucks that they had to omit those few tracks, but I've got a reissue vinyl copy that has everything including the original mix. :)

Can people please label their photos if it's not obvious from the sticker/photo what the album is!

The $22.79 price tag is what I paid for a White Album from Japan in 1976.

I always enjoyed the self-depricating humor that appeared on the CD shrink wrap stickers for the Rhino Have A Nice Day Super Hits of the 70's series. I wish they hadn't kept their promise on that Volume 25 sticker!
