Yup, another classic gets a SW 5.1 mix! Thanks to Neil over at QQ forum for the info!

 

Very exciting news for sure!
SO glad I didn't buy the SACD, as this version will become the new DEFINITIVE version!

 

So glad I bought the SACD, as it is the definitive original version.

I just knew that the so-called missing multis would reappear at some point. Maybe they were never really missing.

 

You only use the word "definitive" because you just bought or will buy the shortly upcoming reissue, but in five years you'll be dying to buy the next one.

 

I've stuck with my wonderful MFSL LP as they way I like to hear it. But 5.1 will be tempting as hell because 5.1 is a new way to hear it and it is being done by someone we all trust. It will sound better than ever.

 

I agree....and I was very tempted by the sacd but held off hoping something like this would happen. I can't wait! I have the original Diament and it's fine in the meantime....

This needs a really good vinyl reissue as well. I'd certainly like to see SW's mix on vinyl. His Aqualung sounds great on wax.

 

Our Host's SACD is mighty darn fine!
I can't wait to compare and contrast.

 

Great news...This will be my 3rd CD purchase of Edge but happy not getting the SACD version but sticking to the other 2.

 

Not really a 5.1 fan, BIG fan of CTTE, he did a really good job on KC. I'm just not sure yet. Love my US, UK's and MoFi, do I need another? Decisions!
