I preordered as well. I hate going out anywhere on Black Friday. Too many crazies out there. I'll hole up in the man cave until its safe to venture out. Hope Bull Moose gets enough supply to accommodate all who order on-line.

Looks reputable. I'll take a chance. They don't charge your card until it ships.

Pigpen Apartment tapes?Aren't there ten or twelve songs on that and hasn't that been floating around forever?
Great stuff, but not new by a longshot.

I haven't seen "Bring Me My Shotgun" other than the Apartment Tapes, so it's good to know Pig indeed played some of these live, besides the obvious Katie Mae. (No 'Michael'? Lol)

That's what we are hoping too. We know how many we usually have left over after RSD, so we will shut off pre-orders if it looks like things will be tight.

The RSD Black Friday concept is a little different than regular RSD. Pre-orders are risky - for both you and us - but they are technically allowed. This really is an experiment to see if it can alleviate some of the flipping nastiness.

I still find it hysterical that years later, it's so easy to find the Syd Barret double lp that was supposedly pressed at 1000 only. No way that pressing number is true.
Since this is pressing 6000+, should be pretty easy to grab in the aftermath, but not sure I want to take a chance....

A little more information from Rolling Stone today, which should make the digital crowd happy:

I buy my RSD records on Amazon.Prices are usually the same as the stores, unlike ebay. You don't have to fight the mob at the store,or be disappointed your store didn't get the record you wanted. These Dead sets are great, all mastered from the original tape reels.

Some readers of this thread may be interested in the Zabriskie Point LP that was just announced. It's been on vinyl before, of course, but not in a while.

Just the original soundtrack, or does it include the bonus material from the reissue?

Really glad to hear this is also being released on cd. I'm not interested in buying vinyl but this would have been tough to pass up without a cd release also talking place.

Yeah, I ordered the vinyl, but I'd prefer a CD. So I'll just end up with both in the end. I don't want to miss out on this...

  23. Sounds promising...now, if there was only a record store still remaining within thirty-five miles of my houseā€¦. :shake:
