My last one is VI, and that may change of course. I also have Greatest Hits.

Chicago Transit Authority. I only bought it because of the Rhino Handmade Quadradisc version and was pleasantly surprised. Not really a fan of the later stuff.

Nothing after Chicago II for me.
It was a major disappointment to me after Chicago Transit Authority and nothing they have done since even came close. These were purchased pretty much at time of release so when III came out I had no interest.

I don't have the Carnegie Hall album or Greatest Hits, but I have the others through 17.

The last one I currently own is VII, but there is some good stuff all the way up to XIV. (Even 17 has one moderately cool track "We Can Stop The Hurtin'.")

Same here in 1969 and 1970. Stopped after II.
I did get to see them live in 1970 in Chicago my hometown.

I agree with all that "real" Chicago died with Terry, and that is my favorite output by far, but I must admit that I can tolerate up through the gloss of 17, probably because that's what my wife listened to when we were first dating!

I quit after Carnegie Hall. But, really, III didn't do much for me. I place II among my top 25 albums of all time. (If you share my love for II, the Rhino vinyl reissue really pulls back the veil. Excellent.)

Also, I can't say enough about "Introduction" from CTA. Haven't met too many people who share this view. Cetera's bass is mind-boggling. Great, great song with boundless energy.

However, I got back on board with 16 and 17. 17 is one of the greatest feats of audio engineering I've ever heard.

I own CTA, II, III, and V. I continue to go back and listen to CTA, but rarely the others.

First two for me. I liked a few songs off of III such as Free and Low Down, but not enough to find it's way into my collection. I still enjoyed a few hits from that point on, yet never pursued the band after their second release.

I & II are all I own and, frankly, I don't like II that much.

As a college kid during the prime of CTA,I bought IV,but that was about where my finances and need for a complete album stopped. And while not as prevalent as Barbra Streisand,IV shows up around here fairly regularly in bits and pieces at every used outlet.

I thought the last good one with new material was XIII. I bought X and XI but didn't like them.

I have the first one, the greatest hits, the one with the cardinal and the box set. That's about all I need.

I go to about Chicago VIII. After that, I lose interest. They were still a great band after that, but I just never liked them enough to buy anything.
