Love it! Those were good times... class of '86 in the peninsula. Y&T were my local bay area heroes. I went to SoCal for college and got swept up in the 91x and KROQ alternative bands that my dorm mates introduced me too, and still kept listening to all of my classic rock staples. Nothing wrong with mixing some Adam Ant with Judas Priest ;-)

Funny, I loved Spring Session M - that may have been my first alt-new wave record purchase, even while I was still a teenage metalhead.

High school: Toys In The Attic; Fly Like An Eagle; Book Of Dreams.

College: LA Woman was our ultimate party record, with some Brooce, Pink Floyd, Elvis C., Cars and Pretenders in the mix. X and Buzzcocks, too.

And...from Bob Seger’s Live Bullet - Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser and Katmandu....

First party I went to in high school I brought my brand new Thriller CD, which was listened to 2 or 3 times in a row and was then promptly stolen. Good times! :D

Yeah, in my small Iowa town everyone was used to country music, so Thriller blew our minds.

Back in the late 80s/early 90s our parties were soundtracked by Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee etc. We were late teens and early 20s... not a rockabilly crowd. No dressing up etc. We just loved 50s rock n roll to drink to, dance to...

Back in the early 90s, I achieved the same desired results with the Monks' "Black Monk Time"... now it just gets people dancing!
