No response received yet, outstanding customer service, as good as their quality control dept. Quality control? What's that? Customer service? What's that? Admitting when you've made a b@lls-up? What's that?

Look at the reference number, I think the post is a joke?

Glad to see this has been fixed.

Soon, we’ll be getting comments from people to complain that they “grew up with the volume drop” and that they shouldn’t have messed with the original 2017 remaster.

What's been fixed? Zero people have posted that they have received a fixed CD. So what has been fixed?

Why do you assume I was talking about CDs? The hi-res download has been fixed. That was the entire point of this thread. The CDs haven’t been sent out yet.

I've already complained that there was a volume drop in the old original, and there was. And there should be.

(Don't know if it was at the same point as the Parlophone "energy loss", so the discussion could be moot.)

But, pre-or-post "Heroes" "fix", one has to go find rips of old media to get what was on the market for 40 years.

Not read this thread yet but thought I'd ask a quick question.

I sent my details and proof of purchase to the email address but I've not heard anything back...not even an automated 'thank you'.... this was a good couple of weeks ago I think.

    Anybody else not hear back?

It would have been useful for automated replies to confirm receipt of our emails and a timescale.
They were due to go out starting 11th December weren’t they? Only they know if they have had 2,000 requests or 20,000 to feed into the Christmas rush of parcels....
So patiently waiting for the first person to post that they have received their replacement. :edthumbs:

No response received yet - it's only been eight days since I emailed them my replacement request, outstanding customer service, as good as their quality control dept. Quality control? What's that? Customer service? What's that? Admitting when you've made a b@lls-up? What's that?

I've had no response either, I'm waiting for an LP and CD.

I don't expect them to even ship anything until January.

Given the world we live in today, I've no doubt plenty of people will have faked receipts in order to get a free copy of Heroes (minus the cover). Sad, but inevitable.

Weren't you leading the pack of people swearing there was nothing wrong with the box set and disagreeing with fair criticism ?

Couldn't resist a free copy of the album after all ?

No - I like the set very much overall, but I never said there was nothing wrong with "Heroes." Because there obviously is.

I also had to exchange my original set because the original mix of Lodger had pressing flaws.

Now, in the spirit of the season - Happy Holidays!

    Oh dear, poor old “Parlophone”.

And after giving the world such wonderful, problem-free reissues of the Lodger and Heroes albums too. And all those £13 picture disc singles. And overshadowing the Bowie-curated Nothing Has Changed compilation with the Bowie Legacy CD. And re-releasing the old 2010, 2012 and 2013 Nassau, Ziggy and Aladdin Sane CD remasters within new box sets.

Who would take advantage of such angels?

Probably nobody, actually. I suspect dishonest music fan thieves have a million better things to do, like download thousands of albums for free, not send off for one, and with no cover.
