I'll echo previous reviews for AoR - my pressing is excellent and it does sound more dynamic than the CD. Very enjoyable overall.

Im curious to know if the Angel of Retribution reissue sounds better than the BOB version from 2010. To me the BOB 2010 issue didnt really sound any better than the original dual disc cd.

The reissue of Point Of Entry sounds good. It's a better album than I remember too. A fun listen, for sure. I may pick up British Steel.

Not really seeing these out in the record stores. So far have only seen Painkiller at a Barnes and Noble

Is AoR worth checking out? I'm mostly a late 70s-90 JP fan with Painkiller being the last one I know. How are the vox?

Good album in my opinion, it touches on a few eras.

I enjoyed it. Like the post above said, touched on a lot of what Priest has done in their career with a little more modern heavier touch (in a good way, not in a numetal way haha)

Real good album, I don’t remember a bad song but haven’t listened in a long time

Would you mind posting deadwax info for SAS and SFV?

Do we know yet who mastered/cut these? I'm not seeing anything in the deadwax other than the catalog number and MPO. There is something which looks a bit like '' |` |` '' - not sure what that is all about...

sorry I didn't realize that Ian Sefchick etching was on the link.

It does NOT match the etching on the JP reissues.

Hmmm, if anyone can post a pic of the etching, someone might be able to figure it out. I realize taking good photos of deadwax inscriptions can be difficult.

His stuff is hit and miss. The Sabbath, Dio and Uriah Heep remasters are really good but Helloween, Running Wild, Kreator and Anthrax are dynamically compromised.

I like his Running Wild, Kreator and Helloween remasters. The originals are also compressed (as most of Harris' Johns original productions), but we are talking about Speed and Thrash Metal here...works perfectly !!!
