Hmmm. Springsteen (due to all the live shows available), Pat Metheny, Vangelis, Eno, Bowie, various classical and jazz, Yo Yo Ma and that Goat Rodeo stuff was surprising good.

I notice I have been moving away from rock music over the years.

Bing Crosby - so much great material its hard not to.
Fairport Convention - The Come All Ye box set has been listened to a lot. 7 CDS and each one a gem.....led to delving back into other albums. Plus the 50/50@50 album was brilliant.
Jethro Tull - been really spending a bit of time with those deluxe sets and ALL that material to digest
Martin Carthy - 2017 was they year I picked up the remaining albums from his discography that I wanted

Slayer, Motorhead, Megadeth & Anthrax are staples when I am in the Gym.

My stats are driven by the fact I listen to a fair amount of music in the background while working. At the same time, I absolutely love this background music so all is good. Here are my top ten in terms of listens (in order from the highest count):

    Max Richter
    larla Ó Lionaird
    Hammock
    Tim Story & Hans-Joachim Roedelius
    Christopher Franke
    Donald Fagen
    Tim Bowness
    Steven Wilson
    My Friend The Chocolate Cake
Donald Fagen (obtained The Nightfly for the first time in 2017 and it went on very heavy rotation)

Hard to narrow it down to ten acts because I listened to a lot of music throughout the year, often moving from act to act, listening to individual tracks. Here is a list of acts, not in any particular order, that collectively I probably listened to the most during last year:

    Grateful Dead
    Miles Davis
    Elvis Presley
    Fleetwood Mac
    The Eagles
    Eric Clapton
    Bob Dylan
    John Coltrane
    Jeff Beck
    The Beach Boys
