"I Don't Need Society" by D.R.I. or "De Futura" by Magma?

"Dancing With Tears in My Eyes", because Midge Ure (and presumably the rest of Ultravox) gets blown up in the video. Although if, in their video, all of Yes had jumped off the roof instead of just the one guy who turned into a bird, that would have given them the win.

If all of Yes had jumped off a roof for real, it would be my favorite video of all time, unless Styx were to make one where they did the same thing.

Prefer Ultravox tune. Yes better production.Though the art of noise/YES.. da da da da bit in the bridge sounds a bit irksome these days.

Not knowing Dancing with Tears In My Eyes, I am inclined to vote for it based on my knowledge of the rest of the field, and respect for all the earlier work of Yes.

Dancing by a country mile. The Yes track sounds like generic 80's rock with a cheap synth rif.
Ultravox were very good at merging synth and rock.

Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, no question. :D

Now if it was Yours Is No Disgrace vs Vienna, that would be a toughie for me...

    Ultravox, absolutely no contest.

Now, if it were Turn of the Century versus even something decent like Vienna, then it would be the same in reverse.

Edit: I swear I didn't read the post directly above before I posted! Practically identical in concept.

Ultravox, I'm a sucker for those dramatic synths.

    A strange comparison -

However it's Ultravox by light years - don't mind the Yes song but "Dancing..." is much better.

Very hard to create an atmosphere with such a huge crowd in blistering heat and bright sunlight - those sunglasses are probably more practical than for show. I remember the day very well. AND watching it on tv...

I think Midge did brilliantly here and maybe Vienna came across even better. Love that guitar too- always wanted one! :D

Thinking back to the DVD and the things I got to see on it, that I missed at the time for whatever reason- I have to say that Ultravox are easily in my top 10 of artists that performed there that remarkable day.
