I'm fairly certain the original was a DynaGroove cut, so it wasn't exactly audiophile grade to start with.

Did they go with re-doing the Lennon sticker on AB?

I'm tempted to pick up Aerial Ballet to compare to my original stereo copy, but that giant black hole in my wallet says no.

Received my copy of Pandemonium Shadow Show today. Great pressing, flat quiet, and sounds very good. It's the only Harry record I don't have on vinyl, so I can't do a direct comparison, but I'm still going to keep my eye out for an original copy as well.

These both sound really great! Kevin Gray knocked them out of the park. Love the mono mix of "One".

I have stereo original UK copies of both of these - these new issues sound promising - did Daddy's song make it onto Aerial Ballet in the End?

Perhaps they could follow these up with 'Harry', 'Newman' and 'The Point'....(I'm assuming these were only issued in Stereo?)

Great reissue, great pressing. Nice to have "Daddy's Song" back where it belongs. Overall, I'm very happy with this... but am I the only one who's not fond of the mono mix of "Everybody's Talkin'"?

The excessive reverb on Harry's voice really takes away from it. Rick Jarrard always favored the reverb, but I think he went a bit overboard on this track. Ironically, my reissue 45 of this song uses the stereo mix - which has a very nice, relatively dry vocal sound (different vocal take as well, I think).

Yep. These two mono's were the ONLY two mono's.

As for the verb'ed mono mix of ET....I like it better....it's got a more dreamy sort of sound than the dry stereo mix.

Are the Sundazed LPs mastered from analog tapes? How do they compare to the mono versions of these two albums included in the Nilsson CD box set?

    Sundazed usually uses analog sources.
The box set CDs sound pretty darn good. I haven't heard the Sundazed.

I hadn't known this release existed until seeing a copy of the Sundazed mono AERIAL BALLET at a local store yesterday and picking it up. I'm pretty much clueless about Nilsson but have been wanting to investigate more so this was a nice opportunity. It's maybe even better that I don't really know the stereo mixes of these tunes inside out, so I can enjoy the monos on their own terms. Taken in that way, they sound pretty wonderful to me. What a remarkable album.

If you like that album consider the big Harry box that came out last year. It is wonderful. He was very inventive and did a lot of unusual things. One of my favorite box sets ever done.

I wish I could hear it for the first time again. The stereo mix isn't too shabby either. I'd encourage you to pick up Pandemonium Shadow Show on vinyl as well and just keep going up from there. The PSS mono reissue sounds just as good and plenty of punch.
