When we will be getting the Brazilian Mono-foldowns of the later albums (with 2009 stereo remastered tracks, of course) in a lovely box?

Why would they include "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help" if they have the same track listing as the UK versions?

The same reason many Americans wanted Sgt. Pepper's and Magical Mystery Tour in the new U.S. box?

Think what a hit these would be if they remastered the original Beatles Stereo mixes again, but right this time!

I think that's because they have the different sleeves to the UK versions.

They should do a box like that Kinks one where they put out every album but with unique covers from all over the world.

auto translate scores again: "I have decided five albums of The Beatles high sex will be released on CD for the first time" (from the hmv.jp info).

What American versions? Are you aware that the Japanese releases "Meet The Beatles", The Beatles' Second Album" and "Beatles No. 5" were unique Japanese compilations?

It almost makes sense if it is a release for the Japanese market.

This is the sequence of original releases in Japan (Taken from Christoph Maus book - "Beatles Worldwide")

April 5, 1964 - "Meet The Beatles" (Japanese version)
June 5, 1964 - "The Beatles' Second Album" (Japanese version)
    September 5, 1964 - "A Hard Day's night" U.K.
    March 15, 1965 - "Beatles For Sale" U.K.
    May 5, 1965 - "Beatles No. 5" (Japan compilation)
    September 15, 1965 - "Help" U.K.

Odd that "Beatles For Sale" is left out.

Stop the rational thinking. These people need to check with the forum first before they make these type of decisions. We know best. ;)

Maybe they will release all the Kinks albums like that, and the Stones, The Hollies, and The Who, but all containing 2009 Beatles audio? :)

It 's the same as the UK version. The Help! LP had a slightly different sleeve, but close enough that it is a bit of a duplicate

NumberEight Came too late and stayed too long

    Remarkable and excellent track selections.

While Dave Dexter and Capitol were putting together 11-track albums and missing out songs that wouldn't get a US album release until 1970 or later, the Japanese seem to have been getting it right. Everything seems to have made it to a 14-track Japanese release more or less contemporaneously, with the exception of Bad Boy, for which the Japanese - just like the UK - had to wait until its release on Oldies.

And the first four tracks on the Japanese Meet The Beatles are a killer!

I feel a playlist coming on.

This would have been a good place to include the 'Oldies' album. The photo on the back was taken in Japan. It would also have given the Japan box some unique content (and no doubt boosted sales). Another opportunity missed by Apple/Universal.
