Right now I only have 18 of these records (most of them UK pressings), but as of today they officially have their own section in my stacks. No longer buried among the LPs and 12" singles, I can finally see them and easily access them for enjoyment. And they are pretty cool! I like this size record... very easy to handle and play.

I have lots of 10" albums, but the only one I have from the revival period is "Black Market Clash."

Among my prized possessions are Les Baxter's "The Passions" and Yma Sumac's "Inca Taqui," which became side 2 of the 12" album of "Voice of the Xtabay."

Also, Les Baxter's "Le Sacre du Sauvage," which became "Ritual of the Savage" as a 12" album. The 10" version is more thematically cohesive, as only one of the four tracks added to the 12" album was thematically related.

I have a hard time finding 10" inner sleeves.

Also, for some reason, it is hard to find 10" albums in good shape, at least in my experience.

I like that early Elvis one with the dodgy cover.

Look out for bombed indie band 10" records from the 90s. I see quite a few for virtually no money, here in London at least. I've bought a handful for the inner sleeves, in case I ever need them, and thrown the records/outer sleeves away.

    I only have a few 10" records:

"Live at the Electric Circus" (a "punk" comp featuring early Fall and Joy Division performances).

The Wolfmen: "Needles in the Camel's Eye" (Adam & the Ants writer/guitarist Marco Pirroni's band. A big, good cover of a 1973 Brian Eno track).

and The Fall's incredible "Slates" mini album from 1981.

i have a 10 inch stereo record from 1964 by the red army ensemble on UK columbia, what makes it cool, aside from being in stereo, is that i had thought that EMI stopped producing any new LP ten incher's 3 or 4 years earlier ( although i know they still continued to press some of the earlier stuff )

Same here. I don't care for the inners with the rounded edge. I wish Sleeve City had a 10" version of the Diskeeper. Right now I am cutting the 12" Diskeepers down to size. Not the best solution, but with a resealable Japanese outer at least everything stays in place.

Last 10" record I bought was the Rolling Stones Live In England 65 that came with the Charlie Is My Darling deluxe set.

There isn't a 10" record I own that I wouldn't rather own as a 12" 45. The 10" record is the worst vinyl format ever.

I love them. My ambition is to find an album released in 3", 5", 7" 10" and 12"

I think they are pretty cool, just that they're a bit more cumbersome to store and of course you have to flip sides more often.

The UK 2x10" Porky mastered Lush-Spooky is one of those elusive discs that always slips away on ebay.

Sure. Just about any 10" record would have superior fidelity cut at 45 rpm on a 12" span and would file much more nicely with all my other LPs/12" records rather than having to be relegated to its own ghetto shelf of odd size misfits.

Yeah on my system (and with my tinnitus) that kind of difference in fidelity is not going to be so sophisticated... and I kinda like the ghetto effect. :)

If you've got a linear turntable it'll hate 10 inches more than it hates colored vinyl. :p
