I just ordered mine from Amazon UK for £44. I would also like to see a mix of Zinc Alloy with less of the shrieking backing vocals.
I wish there was some consistency with these box sets. I would have preferred this and The Slider to follow the Electric Warrior boxset, shelf friendly.

Probably just a deal of the day kinda thing. Re-preordered (haha) it for 36.58 pounds two days ago.

I just checked. It is still £43.90. It has been that price for a few days now.

I'd be interested to hear about the SQ this time around.
The 2002 Edsels were cranked-up and lost some of the dynamic range on their mid-1990's counterparts.
I've retained the 1994 releases wherever I can.

Important news about the 'Tanx and Zinc Alloy - Deluxe Edition'. We've just heard that due to the complexity of creating the book with the CDs and DVDs, the release date has had to go back a week to the 10th March. Edsel apologise for any inconvenience, but promise it will be worth the wait

Those shrill backing vocals make the record! Love that Gloria Jones!

Received today with the Coloured Solid Gold Easy Action 45rpm…Sounds good..a nice Visconti/ Ted Jensen remaster, not that I think the originals needed it, but thats 2014 for you !! The bonus tracks are remastered by Phil Kinrade at Alchemy mastering..This truly has been a Rexpensive month of MARCh..

Got mine today! Book is really well done. Tony's comments are very funny. I like the sound of the remasters. Much better than the last batch.

Are the Rhino's not clones of the Edsels? I did not bother with the Rhinos assuming this was true.

Bought the RSD "Tanx" yesterday. The split coloured vinyl looks great but...the "large poster" Demon promised is a bit of a letdown. I was expecting something...well...large but it is rather..well...more like Marc's size;) Unfortunately I won't be able to spin it today:(

At least the Poster in the Fat Possum issue from a few years ago was the same size as the original issue from '73.

Never seen that version. But it has to be said that the picture on the new "Tanx" poster is as cool as a picture of a grown up guy with a toy tank can get;)

Even though I don't expect it to sound better than vintage 1973 pressings..

Just tried to listen to the RSD "Tanx" and couldn't make it all the way through because I didn't like the sound of the new Visconti master. "Rapids" is paper thin, other tracks seem like Tony simply turned the bass up. Am I alone in thinking this does sound "wrong"? My US original sounds much better....
