Just goes to show the wide range and appeal of The Beatles- about half the songs listed above I regard as seriously sub standard. Some are just plain awful! Yet they're someone's favourite! Go Beatles!

Hmm... Not in any particular order:

    While My Guitar Gently Weeps
    And I Love Her
    Help

:) Tomorrow it may well be:

    Something
    I Saw Her Standing There
    In My Life

I'm not a huge fan of their early work but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for this song because of that lovely outro.

Wonder what % of Beatles songs will be mentioned in this thread. As we already have Revolution 9 and You Know My Name, I think we may be heading for 100% of their core catalog.

Great choices. "Don't Bother Me" is pretty much the first "angst pop" song, very underrated.

Ticket to Ride: Sorry Byrds, but this is the ultimate jingle-jangle pop song.

    I've Got a Feeling
: The boys doing their "hippie soul" thing (w/ Billy P. in tow) and it just feels so right.

    It's All Too Much
: It's the ultimate psychedelic Beatles track and it's stuck on a "soundtrack" LP that many don't care about.

Can't honestly answer this, but I can say that these 3 are often in the top 5 or 10. But this changes weekly, daily, hourly depending on my mood! :):

The debate in my head could go on for quite awhile, but:
    She Loves You
    Nowhere Man
    And Your Bird Can Sing

    1. Day Tripper - Still my number 1.
    2. Here Comes The Sun - A beautiful evocative song.
    3. I Want You(She's So Heavy) - Sometimes I just gotta have some Beatles with a little meat on the bone.

By what I actually listen to, not to what I think is the "best" ones
1 Rain (pure heaven, the best B side EVER)
2 Hey Jude (I love listening to it just as a recording, how it starts simples and just builds and builds)
3 Dr Robert (or Dear Prudence, also a damn fine recording)

A runner up would be "Soldier of Love" , hard to just stick at three !!
