I thought about this after seeing the film of Godspell with the cast performing All For The Best on top of the still under construction WTC. And I wondered if the World trade center figured into any other films(lets leave out TV shows).

Note Victor Garber and Lynn Thigpen(RIP) in their first film

And just to point out, I would have been scared pootless to be up there like that with no rails.

In the 80s comedy "The Dream Team," when the group of mental patients enter NYC, Michael Keaton's character (who constantly lies) says:

"You guys see those two towers over there? World Trade Center. I was the architectual consultant on that gig. At first they just wanted to put up one, but I said hey, we're here. What the hell, let's throw another one up. Turned out pretty nice didn't it?"

"You were not!" - Christopher Lloyd

"You calling me a liar?!" - Keaton

The Pope Of Greenwich Village. There's a scene with Eric Roberts and Mickey Rourke on a rooftop in NYC and you see a blue sky and then clearly the Twin Towers.
It evoked shock and dread in me when I recently saw the film again as I forgot they were in it!
They're also in Wall Street at the beginning of that film...

I think they appear in Artificial Intelligence, which was released shortly after the attack.

I'm fairly sure they are also in Manhattan, in one of those scenic shots with Gershwin playing on the soundtrack.

The best film I saw that year, and the best documentary I've ever seen. A fascinating story and wonderfully evocative of a place and time and a set of relationships among those involved which after that moment changed forever. To anyone who's not seen this film, put it on the list.

You and me both. When they run toward the rail at around the 9 or 10 second mark and turn around I get woozy just watching it. What if the person running behind you trips and sends you over the edge ? Yikes.

The first Spider-Man movie had the World Trade Center as part of the storyline. A trailer was made with scenes from the sequence. After the events of 9/11 the trailer was pulled and the scene was re-edited in the movie.

Here's Depeche Mode with a promo for "Enjoy the Silence" filmed on the roof of the WTC sometime in 1990.

The Wiz. I believe the plaza on the ground served as the end of the yellow brick road.
