I was just the other day really enjoying one track from that set ("Down Through the Night"), which I downloaded on a lark (actually an AMG recommendation), but I have no idea whether the whole album is of similar quality. Nice to hear of your endorsement. I must say, I otherwise know nothing of Hawkwind. Does anyone here have any notion of the UK venue(s) and/or dates in December 1972 of the recording? It might appease my OCD demons to learn. :)

Forgot about this great album. I particularly like the expanded edition with all of the extra tracks, like that great extended take on "Is My Face On Straight?".

Since we're talking Italian prog, I should also mention Area's Are(A)zione and Banco's Seguendo le Tracce.

Allman Brothers Band At the Fillmore East. Very rootsy, but also very progressive with its long exploratory jams.
    Also:
    Live Dead
    Renaissance Live
Poland: The Warsaw Concert - Tangerine Dream
