Not my pictures but I have been there. Serge Gainsbourg in Montparnasse: The little strips of paper are Metro tickets, in honour (or so I was told) of his song 'Le Poinçonneur Des Lilas.' When I was there (in 1995) there was a little old lady kneeling down and cleaning the headstone with a spray bottle and a sponge.
I visited here last month (though these are not my photos). The headstone is in the center of the rotunda.
Why do you guys have an obsession with musicians who died young? Jeeze. Most of the graves posted here are of young people.
As a Wisconsinite I will always appreciate that despite Mr. Paul's association with New York City that he came home to Waukesha, WI. I wonder how often he gets visited by "luminaries" I myself go there several times each year. For clarity sake, Mr. Paul is laid to rest at Prairie Home Cemetery; Waukesha, WI.
