Amazon has screwed up the sort by price on their site

    It used to be that if you sorted by price high-> low at Amazon, the sort would be based on the lowest priced item for each listing. In other words, if a CD was offered by three sellers, for $40, $12, and $2, then in the sort the item would appear at $2.

    Recently, Amazon has been playing games with the sort, and now you usually get a sort based on the HIGHEST priced item for any listing. In other words, for the previous example, the CD would appear in the list where $40 would fall.

    This not only affects sorting by price, but also price bracketing, i.e. if you ask for items over $20, you'll get items that are selling by at least one seller for > $20.

    This is ridiculous and worthless. If I want to sort high-> low, it's because I'm trying to identify high end items. Not because I want to find items that one crazy scumbag has listed for a high price...
