In my opinion it would be a great lead of song on a 'Cd Ep Single' Bonus EP inclusive to the box:

1. Bangladesh
2. Deep Blue
3. Miss O' Dell (non-laughing version)
4. I Don't Care Anymore

And keep all the other Bonus tracks as previous unreleased demo's etc, that way the regular album of 'Dark Horse' for the casual Harrison fan does not get bogged down with the pretty awful 'I Don't Care Anymore' of which the 'hard core' fans will only be interested in !!

I wonder if Paul's team at Concord saw the tweet & the speculated Sep 22 release date on AllMusic and did a preemptive strike with their own announcement!

 

I've just been listening to Dark Horse. The much maligned cover of "Bye Bye Love," while admittedly not veiled greatness, would be, I think, much improved with a new mix. Bring the bass up and the distorted elec guitar. I wouldn't begrudge the curators were they to make some targeted improvements via new mixes, and not just for ATMP. I feel like there is at least one track on every George album crying out for a better mix (or sometimes, a judicious edit). Make these albums sound as good as they can sound, and if you feel guilty, throw any superseded old mixes on at the end of the same CD (so it's easy to program them back in if that's what you prefer).

 

You know, I can't imagine any way that this could end badly.

Have you seen the pricing on the forthcoming deluxe versions of Macca's WATSOS and VAM? OUCH! I'm sure the price will go down, but right now both sets are at US $213.99 EACH. Let us hope the Harrison estate doesn't follow suit with a similar price tag .

 

Those are import prices.. On Amazon US they cost $80 each

I doubt a Harrison release will be seen to be copying from The Beatles or John Lennon of which Harrison spent years trying to forget, nice concept though
