I have to go with Damn Yankees- Coming of Age. It fades out during the final guitar solo at the end of the song. They should have kept playing the solo, it sounded like it was going to be really good guitar solo.

I've been listening to Led Zeppelin's remasters lately and noticed these examples:

    Ramble On:
Admittedly a long fade-out, but it would've been interesting if the song were extended, as Plant really lets himself go with overdubs and all.

    Celebration Day:
It sounds a tad unfinished when a song fades out in mid-vocal action, but then again it adds a bit of mystique.

The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic:
Same as with Celebration Day, but there seems to be an interesting musical shift going on as well that's foreign to the rest of it.
Sting must've been intrigued with the 'umbrella'-lyric as far as continuity goes.
It would also pop up on O My God from the next album, Synchronicity.

On the international cd-versions of AC/DC's Let There Be Rock-album Go Down fades out right before it ends just a couple of seconds later. The complete song is on the Aussie cd-versions.
    It's completely pointless.

Gerald Albright's "So Amazin'" The improvisations in the "close out" get faded out too early.

Much like the end of "Goodbye to Love," you want to hear more of Tony Peluso's guitar.

    Some great mentions here...
Bruce Springsteen's Racing In The Streets off of Darkness On The Edge Of Town is one I always
thought faded down when the best music on that album was just beginning...

America - Homecoming I recall the album is full of early fade outs. But what made it even worse, they're long fades. Double mistake.

I always want to hear the jam at the end of Supper's Ready go on a bit longer.

Even if it was just like 5 seconds longer, It would awesome, I love the ending, just full of power and excitement.

The Beatles - The Fool On The Hill....Seems an abrupt ending to me.

Also Queen - Spread your wings....I could listen to that solo at the end for at least another minute...Personally I prefer the BBC version ending :agree:

Way too many J.J. Cale songs do a quick fade out while the song is still in major groove mode.
I know JJ considered his songs "demos" for other musicians to consider covering, hence the quick presentation coupled with the quick goodbye approach, but to the true JJ fan , it can get a bit irritating.
