Yup. It's Hollywood's new business model. Make a crappy film and when it flunks, sue every man and his dog, all over the world, to make a profit. They're not alone, there have been other troll suits especially in the 'adult' industry.

 

Despite bombing in the US, E3 still made over $200 million on a worldwide basis.

 

The US box office is generally what comes first with the studios, but even so, they probably didn't break even. What's ridiculous is that that suit is for more than double the global takings! Good luck with that. Voltage Pictures tried the same stunt with The Hurt Locker.
