Being a BB fan is a rewarding, frustrating, exhilarating and disappointing thing.
However, there is a reason that we are Beach Boy fans. I know that there are little moments for each fan that are their favorite.
    Right now, for me...
The absolute clumsy joy of "It's OK".
The vocal trade-off in "Had To Phone Ya", especially Brian's wonderfully hoarse plea.
    Feel Flows.

First time I saw the movie "Love Actually" in 2003 at the end of the movie, the last scene, they played the Beach Boys song "God Only Knows". I got so choked up hearing it. I felt like crying. It was so beautiful to me.

That Cabin Essence was completed and released in the 60's, that's one of the best things to have come from the Smile sessions.

The fact that Mike Love hated the line 'over and over, the crow cries uncover the cornfield,' but sang it beautifully anyway.

The intro to the Little Girl I Once Knew always stops me dead in my tracks
and the outro to I Know There's An Answer is just sublime and I wish would never stop.

Quite a few for me, but I'll just list a few

You're Welcome - Such simple lyrics, just one phrase being repated, but love the harmonies on this. Also love how it starts so quiet and then the vocals and music grow louder as the song builds. It's only a little over a minute long, but the Boys pack a lot into that minute.

Meant For You - Such a beautiful opening to the Friends album, I also enjoy the longer version on the MIC box.

The entire Friends album. Such a peaceful and relaxing album, another hidden gem in the BBs canon.

Break Away - How this song was never a hit baffles me, has the production of the old Brian on it - great harmonies and a swirling sound, a bit remenicent of Little Girl I Once Knew and telling lyrics.

All I Want To Do - From the 20/20 album, a great Dennis rocker and possibly Mike's best vocals ever.

Surf's Up '67 Brian Solo Version. Just pure beauty and brilliance. For me it tops anything on Pet Sounds. (which I love)

Do It Again - A great throwback to their 64-65 period. Love Brian's falsetto imitating a horn. Don't know how this wasn't a hit either.

The MIC early '60s version of Back Home. Love the horns, don't know why they waited til 15 Big Ones to release a version of the song

Feel Flows - Love everything about it, the slight psychedelic feel, the production, everything.

The SMiLE sessions box sets. Never thought these would exist. Never.

Smiley Smile - A lot of stoned takes on the SMiLE material. Great in its own way.

Sound Of Free - A great Dennis B-side that is often forgotten. Shows that Dennis was really becoming a force too.

And finally Brian's Back. I know a lot of you might snicker at this, but I really do believe it's a loving song from Mike to his cousin. (And I'm not a Mike apologist!)

I have many more but these are just a few.
